• Sunday Morning Breakfast - Gloms Kauk

    When we took our trip to Winnipeg a while back, we had this "new to us" breakfast at The Don called "Gloms Kuak". It's basically a fried cottage cheese patty. Doesn't sound to appetizing, but it is actually an amazing breakfast dish. Craving something different for we made a home made version for Sunday morning breakfast.

    • 1 cup full-fat cottage cheese
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 1 tbsp fresh dill or chives
    • 1/3 tsp celery salt or sea salt
    • Butter for pan frying

    Mix ingredients together. The batter will be thicker than pancake batter. If not, add in more flour. Melt butter in hot pan and drop patties in. Cook until browned and crisp on both sides. Top with some fresh grilled green onions and eggs.

    Yield: About three big patties
